Live Video: The Phenomenal Handclap Band

Here’s something new to throw your way, we’ve been taking a brief hiatus due to scheduling, but coming back at you with some new sounds to brighten your day. The Phenomenal Handclap Band, this New York band of pop misfits, are a recent find for us, they dabble in all the goods of the past 30 years of pop music, ie 70s funk and disco, 60s vocal pop harmonies, and 80s lover boy electro-rock. Enjoy this live video of “All of the Above” from CMJ and pick up their newly minted Self-Titled LP from Friendly Fire Recordings. Your summer jams is here!

Listen Up: The Sea

Whoaaaaaaooow! Get ready for a Blues Rock Spanking! The Sea is a duo made up two brothers from Bristol, UK. I have an affinity for stripped down bluesy rock and The Sea really turn it out, fans of The White Stripes, Black Keys, and Mooney Suzuki will find something to love in The Sea. It proves once again, you can do so much with just drums and guitar. Let’s get dirty and throw some punches! Their debut album Get It Back is out now as an import label Lusty Records.

Here is the video for their single “Don’t You Want Me”
